WHITE BEAR LAKE — When her friends, family and pro-wrestling fans learn she’s jumping into White Bear Lake, the response is often “you must have landed on your head a few too many times,” said Nora Greenwald, aka Molly Holly.
The former pro-wrestler will be among the hundreds of brave souls taking the White Bear Lake Polar Bear Plunge Jan. 31.
Now in its 12th year, the event is a fundraiser for Special Olympics Minnesota. In exchange for their bone-chilling dip into the lake, participants collect pledges. On White Bear Lake last year, 433 plungers raised more than $84,000 for Special Olympics.
Each plunger must raise a minimum of $75. Greenwald, a White Bear Lake resident, hopes to raise at least $1,000. Along with support from friends and family, Greenwald is posting requests on wrestling Websites in hopes her fans also will chip in.
Greenwald was a two-time World Wrestling Entertainment women’s champion before retiring from the ring in 2005. She now works at Minnesota Teen Challenge, a faith-based drug treatment program.
“I always thought ‘I’ll never do that, that’s crazy,’” she said of the plunge, “ … then God put it on my heart.”
She had the privilege of meeting many Special Olympians during her wrestling days, she said.
“I love their enthusiasm and positive spirit,” Greenwald said. “They’ve always been a real inspiration to me.”
She was unsuccessful in convincing anyone to join her, so she’ll take the icy dip alone, dressed in a Super Girl costume.
Greenwald is most worried not about the plunge itself, but getting out of the water and having to brave the brisk winds in soggy attire. But it will be well worth it, she said, because of the “fun atmosphere while supporting a great cause in a unique way.”
The Polar Bear Plunge is noon Saturday, Jan. 31 at the White Bear Lake VFW, Post 1782, 4496 Lake Ave. S. Parking is at Eagle Brook Church, 2401 Buffalo St. A shuttle bus will take plungers and supporters to the VFW.
Participants can plunge on their own or in groups. A $75 minimum pledge is required. Costumes are welcome.
“It will be an experience of a lifetime,” she said.
I got a message from Nora today. Please help her out by donating if you can or help spread the word!
I will be jumping into the icy waters of White Bear Lake on Jan 31st to raise money for the special olympics.
I would appreciate your support. If you live in the area, I would love if you could make it in person to cheer me on.

Message from Miss Green: “Hi wrestling fans! This is Nora Greenwald aka former WWE Diva and 2x Womens Champion Molly Holly. I still receive many requests for my autograph. Since I find myself not having enough time to fulfill these requests by mail on my own I have asked my friends at CD’s Collectibles to help me with their service to provide them directly to you on my behalf. Here you will find authentic autographed trading cards, 8×10’s, title belts, event worn outfits and many more one of a kind items signed with special inscriptions in unique marker colors that you will only find here! I have personalized these items exclusively for CD’s eBay store and they will not be available anywhere else! I hope you find an item that you would enjoy on display. I appreciate and can’t THANK YOU enough for all of your support over the years. Thanks soooo much! LOVE and GOD bless, Nora”
Nora is unsure which event this was worn on as she did many many shoots over her 5 years in WWE. Some of which never made it to print so years later it is hard to determine which exact shoot they came from. However, it is guaranteed authentic from an official WWE Diva’s photo shoot!
As you can see above, Nora has signed some Official and Exclusive items to be sold on eBay. There is a wide variety of different items. You have signed and kissed promos, signed trading cards, signed trading cards with captions, and much more. There are limited amounts of the items, so be sure to buy them before they run out!! You click look through her store by clicking on the banner above or by clicking HERE. Enjoy!

Nora sent in an adorable new photo for the December Photo of the Month!
Along with the photo, Nora sent in what she did for Thanksgiving weekend this year.
I worked a double shift on Thanksgiving 7am to 11pm then drove 6 hours and arrived up north very early Friday morning. I slept till 11am Friday then helped my dad haul brick and move some building supplies. No shopping for me.
Nora’s photo is featured on WWE.com’s feature on RAW’s 15th Anniversary. She is included with 21 other divas as they list Raw’s Lovely Divas Through the 15 Years. That photo can be seen HERE in the gallery!
Finally, I’d like to announce that I now run a third site. I’m greatly honored to be Ariel aka The Portuguese Princess’ new webmistress of her Official Site ArielsWorld.com! Be sure to check it out, she’s amazing and her role model is none other than Nora Greenwald!
New November Photo of the Month
Nora picked out a photo she previously sent us as November’s Photo of the Month. It’s a very cute photo of her with her friend Nick. You can find it down the side on the left hand side of the page.
Thank you Nora!
Nora Halloween Story
In celebration of Halloween, Nora has shared a past Halloween of hers!
In 1992 I went trick or treating with my friends. I wore a paper bag over my head as a costume. At dusk when we started door to door there was no snow. Then there were a few flurries. Then by 9pm it was a full blown blizzard. We were walking through 2 feet of snow and my paper bag was wet and plastered to my head.
Needless to say I didn’t re-use that costume.
First, I would like to apologize for the lack of updates. I hadn’t realized it has been nearly a month since the last update. Tomorrow, my father will be having surgery, so for about a week or two, things will be slow still. Once he is able to return home, I will work on more caps and videos again for the site. Again, sorry about the lack of updates.
