 "MAY 15, 2005 UPDATE"

We have some exclusive updates today. :) I got a letter and a picture along with a small note from Nora last Thursday, and Dani also got another letter from Nora last Friday! The letters and picture can be found on the gallery website.

Gorgeous George and Trish Stratus had some comments about Nora that we wanted to share with you.

Gorgeous George’s Comments

– George was cool with Torrie, Madusa and Asya, but said Molly was her favourite of the WCW girls.
– She only briefly trained (only about 10 times) with Molly leading up to her WCW PPV match against Charles Robinson. They also trained in a steel warehouse with a ring inside that was 120 degrees in temperature.
– Molly got George into ECW in 2000, apparently though Nova.
– George came to WWE once with Molly and was offered a contract, but turned it down as she didn’t feel she was ready.
– George makes a really good point about Molly, saying Molly isn’t pushing herself or being allowed to push herself in WWE right now. She’s just doing the same old thing.

Trish Stratus’s Comments

Trish Stratus posted the following message on her official website:
“And, lastly, regarding Molly, she has her own personal reasons for leaving the company and I respect that.”.

Not much of an update, but we worked on the galleries.

The latest we have on Molly (Nora Greenwald) based on recent conversations with friends is that she would eventually return to the WWE. Apparently she went to Vince before Wrestlemania and asked for extended time off because she was burned out with the business and wanted to try her hand at other interests. Vince told her that he understood her decision, of course tried to change her mind, but said she would be always welcome back whenever she was ready to return.

Note: This is a rumor! Nothing, to my knowledge, has been officially confirmed by Nora herself.

Please do not e-mail Dani or myself asking for Nora’s address. We have been asked by her not to give it out and we aren’t going to. You have to understand that we respect Nora greatly and we don’t want to disappoint her in anyway. If the asking continues, we will stop posting the letters Nora sends us all together, so it won’t continue to be an issue.

 "APRIL 28, 2005 UPDATE"

Some people, including myself, each got a letter from Molly after her release from the WWE. A lot of us got ours in the mail. It was very surprising but it shows how awesome Molly is. She still wants to keep in touch with some of her fans.

I tried to scan a picture of the letter/candid she sent me, but my scanner doesn’t work. I am going to see if my dad can scan them for me. Once he does, I’ll show ya’ll. This is what she wrote to me…

Megan –
As you know I am currently taking a break from wrestling.
The internet rumors about me being unhappy with the women’s division; Diva Search are untrue.
I just have other plans that do not involve wrestling. If you would like to stay in touch, my top secret
*private address*
God Bless,
Nora/Molly

I’m going to be adding the updates sometime this weekend so keep coming back and check out the updates. :)

Well, it seems that many fans of ladies wrestling have finally reached the breaking point with the WWE’s release of Nora Greenwald, a.k.a. Molly Holly. Since many fans have expressed an interest in getting messages of support to Nora, we have provided this area of G.L.O.R.Y. Wrestling for fans to send in their thoughts and feelings about the subject. We will attempt to get word to Nora about this page so that she can read what everyone has to say.
REMEMBER: We are doing this to SUPPORT Nora, not bash any other women in the wrestling business. Please keep your messages positive and supportive!

Claudia “The Claw” Reiff’s thoughts on Nora’s release: “Yes, it is a shock to see Molly Holly released, however, from what I have read and understand, Molly Holly ASKED for her release, the WWE asked her to think about it, but she still wanted to leave, it was NOT the WWE who released her, she did it of her own accord! Yes, she is one of the best around and will be missed in the WWE, I wish her well in the future…”

Rain ‘s thoughts on Nora’s release: “If they released her I would like to say that is a shame. She is a fantastic worker and from what I hear a great person. I wish I could have seen her on T.V. more. I personally love to watch her matches. Well, I just wish her the best of luck in whatever she decides to do with her life. I am sure she will want to relax for a bit, but I am sure she will continue to do great things.”

Madusa thoughts on Nora’s release: “I just heard that and I was really shocked. If it was her decision then she had good reason to leave. If it was WWE, then I feel they made a huge mistake. She is the only woman they had left that had any talent to make WWE women’s division survive. Why? Cause she wouldn’t show her T&A? Good for her. She will go a lot further. She is the only one I ever had respect for, because of her beliefs. She may not know that. I was always hard on her because I really knew she had talent. Good luck Nora”
Comments from Indy wrestlers:
From ODB: Ridiculous!!! I’m still shocked. She is one of the best workers. She’s beautiful and talented. It’s sad what they are doing to the women’s division. If the other company was smart they would start up a women’s division. Fans wanna see beautiful chicks that can work. I don’t get it.
From Alicia: My reaction to her release is a mix of complete shock and disappointment. She is by far one of the best female workers they have had and to think they would let her go amazes me. The direction of women’s wrestling is pushing forcefully to an imbalance of just T&A and getting away from the actual wrestling/entertaining aspect. I hope events like this don’t discourage girls, especially on the independents from concentrating on what really matters — which is working hard and being the total package of talent, ability AND looks.
From Amber O’Neal: I am very upset about Molly Holly being released. She was one of the BEST women’s wrestlers ever and the best that WWE had at this point. I feel they should have at least kept her around as a trainer for the women’s division especially since they having another DIVA SEARCH! She would have been great to teach these women with no background in wrestling at all. I have been hoping this was a phase with the divas but I am beginning to feel very discouraged about women’s wrestling on TV. We can still tear it up on the indys girls. Do everything you can to keep women’s wrestling STRONG, and AROUND for a long time. I love what I do and I will continue to do it for as long as my body will let me. No matter what! Good luck to you Nora aka Molly Holly. I appreciate all you have done for me and women’s wrestling. I hope she will continue to share you talent with the world.
From Josie: My stomach dropped.

Don’t expect Molly Holly (Nora Greenwald) to show up on the indies any time soon. We’re told she totally wants out of wrestling (many say this, but few do stay out) after requesting her WWE release this past week. Those close to her say her departure was on the cards as she wants to try her hand at other things in life.
