#1999 WCW THURSDAY THUNDER MATCH HISTORY

07/22/1999 ››› A nice surprise – the WCW holding their first one-on-one woman’s match in a few years. And by the looks of it they may be able to give us good women’s wrestling which is what we thought we were gonna get with the WWF – but haven’t so far. The match featured Miss Madness against Brandi Alexander who was no slouch in the ring. Miss Madness got the early initiative in the ring and was able to outperform Brandi before drop kicking her out to the floor. Once Brandi got back into the ring however the pace of the match changed as Brandi went after MM with a vengeance. Several times it looked as though Miss Madness was overmatched as her opponent took the opportunity to pick her up by the hair and throw her half way across the ring. After putting MM in a Boston crab Brandi got a surprise as her opponent tucked herself up and escaped right into position for a two-count. Picking MM up and body slamming her Brandi went to the top rope to finish her opponent off and got another surprise as MM picked her up and heaved her to the mat. Now MM went on the offensive by giving Brandi several vicious chops to the chest and almost tearing her head off with a summersault flying elbow that devastated the woman. MM finished Brandi off with a suplex for the win. Then not long after her win in the ring she accompanied Macho and George out to the ring for Macho to tell us what he was going to do to Dennis Rodman and that Madusa had been fire. As Miss Madness is standing there clapping thinking she’s got it made, Randy drops the bombshell. Apparently upset because of the feud between herself and Madusa along with the fact that she might want to further her own wrestling career, Macho made it clear to her that he was the center of the universe, not her and that she was also fired. That wasn’t bad enough but he told her to get on her knees and beg for her job and when she did he told her she was fired anyway and to get out of the ring.

09/23/1999 ››› Alexander opened the bout by challenging the former Miss Madness to a test of strength. After a quick takedown, a series of near fall cradles ensued. A frustrated Alexander dragged Mona to the outside, delivering a thunderous bodyslam to the unpadded portion of the ringside floor. Once back in the squared circle, Alexander continued her assault with hard kicks and malicious chokes. After a whip into the corner, Mona countered Brandi’s attack and met her with a headscissors takedown. Mona brought Alexander out of the corner with a monkey flip, sending her soaring across the ring. Brandi countered a second attempt at the maneuver and, with the help of the ring ropes, scored a tainted victory over Mona.

09/30/1999 ››› The former Miss Madness said she was happy for the opportunity to wrestle in WCW and realized the competition was heavy. Seconds later, Brandi Alexander ran down the ramp and viciously attacked Mona, beating her in the head with one of Mona’s own high heel shoes. As the action moved toward the ring area, the bell rang, and this match, that was scheduled for later in the broadcast, was underway. Alexander continued her attack on her surprised opponent, punching, kicking and doing basically anything she could do to wear her advisory down. Mona mounted a brief comeback, but Alexander was relentless in her onslaught. Mona ducked a kick attempt to the head and moved in on her foe, delivering knife-edge chops to the upper chest area. The blond bombshell got her revenge on Alexander and caught the young vixen with a top rope huracanrana for the hard fought win, putting their matches at 1-1, with a third tiebreaker inevitable.

12/02/1999 ››› Kargias/Madusa vs. Jarrett/Mona. You knew that Mona was in trouble if Jeff stayed true to form. Karagias started out against Mona, but Madusa was quickly tagged in. Jarrett refused to take to the apron and participate. As Madusa held Mona in an armbar submission hold, Jarrett sat on the ringsteps with his back turned to the ring. Mona delivered a huricanrana to Karagias off the top rope, but Madusa caught her with a German suplex as she got up. Karagias went to the top again, but this time came down with a corkscrew splash for the win. After the match, Mona dropkicked Jarrett for not helping her, but was treated to a guitar across the head for her troubles.
