Molly Holly

Proving that you can’t keep a good family down, Molly Holly burst onto the scene last fall at the request of her cousin, Crash. When Crash’s older cousin Hardcore Holly was put on the shelf thanks to a broken arm suffered at the hands of Kurt Angle, Crash recruited his younger cousin to stand by his side. The young newcomer has proven to be more than up to the task, both taking and dishing out punishment with the best of them.

At the time Crash recruited her, he was under siege by the team of T&A and their manager Trish Stratus. While Crash could handle Test and Albert, the gentlemanly Holly refused to attack Stratus. Molly, however, had no such reticence, and once Crash unleashed her on the Federation, she proceeded to engage in an intense feud with the Canadian Diva.

The Holly’s have gained a reputation in the Federation for being among the toughest Superstars around. They constantly take advantage of their opponents, who tend to underestimate them because of their size. Molly has shown that she is most definitely a Holly. Her toughness is unquestionable, as she hasn’t backed down from a fight yet. While she does not possess the intimidating power of someone like Chyna, she more than makes up for it in sheer determination and self-confidence.

Much like Crash himself, who was introduced to the Federation by Hardcore Holly in 1999, Molly wasted no time in making a name for herself. She has lived up to Crash’s expectations by watching his back and fighting alongside him like only a family member can. With Hardcore Holly returning to action last November, the Holly’s have formed a united front, joining forces to take on any and all comers. Yet, despite her familial obligations, Molly is succeeding in establishing her own identity as well.

In the short time she’s been here, Molly has shown that her ambitions stretch beyond family loyalties. She has already challenged for the Women’s Championship, and has made it her goal of late to snare the prestigious belt made famous by the likes of the Fabulous Moolah and Wendi Richter. There is no doubt that Molly is eager to add her name to the list of titleholders.

Her knowledge of mat science in impressive. Over the past few months, she has contributed to a major change in women’s competition, helping to move the division away from pudding matches and more in the direction of hard-hitting action. She has had matched with the likes of Ivory and Jacqueline which have been just as exciting as any contested by her male counterparts. With a background in powerlifting and gymnastics, Molly is truly a gifted athlete whose assess go beyond her good looks.

With all her skills, it was only a matter of time before one of her cousins came calling. Realizing the raw ability Molly possessed, Crash eagerly returned to his native Alabama, hunted her down and invited her to join him. Molly jumped at the opportunity, and before long, she was busy making her mark in the World Wrestling Federation. She hasn’t stopped since, and with each week, her rivals are discovering how unwise it is to overlook this talented spitfire.

Are there anymore Holly’s on the way? Who knows? One thing is for sure: Federation Superstars have their hands full with the ones who are already here. Molly has demonstrated that she is worthy of carrying the family name, and looks to be well on the way to carving a niche for herself among that talented ranks of the Federation. Whoever she has to go through along the way had better watch out. Patience and level-headedness have never been found in the Hollys’ gene pool.
