What Was Your Favorite Subject In School?
September 2002
My favorite class in school was consumer economics. I didn’t just like it because I was good at it, but also because we studied things that I thought were necessary to learn. There were so many classes I didn’t like because I thought I’d never use the things they taught. But in consumer economics, we learned everything: how to balance your checkbook, how to pay bills, how to invest money, how to do the stock market. Just a lot of simple life lessons that you wouldn’t ordinarily know unless someone told you. While I was in the class, I felt like I could actually use it in life. – Molly Holly
