OUTCOME: Molly scored a surprise pinfall backstage to briefly hold the hardcore title
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF MATCH: According to the WrestleMania program, the hardcore match was supposed to be between champion Maven and Goldust, but Mighty Molly walloped her friend and partner, The Hurricane, after he stole the title, and enjoyed a very short title reign. She dropped the belt to Christian minutes later. The significance was negligible, but it made for good comic relief and one of the show’s more entertaining moments.
