After live events in Puerto Rico and Panama, the Road to WrestleMania tour of Latin America made its final stop at the Domo Polideportivo de la CDAG in Guatemala City, Guatemala, yesterday. WWE fans packed a sold-out, standing room-only arena to see their favorite Raw Superstars.
The Raw Superstars had a visit from an old friend on the last day of the tour when former WWE Women’s Champion Molly Holly, aka Nora Greenwald, visited WWE’s first ever live event in the Central American country.
The former two-time WWE Women’s Champion and one-time former Hardcore Champion has been living in Antigua, Guatemala, for the past several months, studying Spanish 6 hours a day 5 days a week.
“My biggest concern was how to get to the city. It’s 45 miles from Antigua to Guatemala City and it’s not easy to make a trip like that in this country,” she told WWE.com.
The 29 year-old former Diva found a bus to take her one way for just a dollar and she meet the RAW Superstars when they arrived.
Greenwald has spent much of her time since her April ’05 retirement from sports-entertainment doing missionary work with her church. She will be in Guatemala until mid-April and then will head back home to Minnesota and see what life brings her.
Greenwald’s insists her visit to see her old friends is just that, a visit. “Right now I have no plans to return to wrestling, but you never say never in this business.”
After the exciting tour of Latin America, the Raw Superstars are heading back to the United States for Washington D.C.’s live Monday Night Raw tomorrow night, which will air on the USA Network at 9/8 CT.
