Trish Stratus def. Molly Holly
Trish Stratus was out to regain the WWE Women’s Championship from her long-time prudish tormentor, Molly Holly. Molly liberally mixed a number of vicious tactics with her superior scientific mat skills and took control of the match. Trish regained the advantage and gained near-falls with a bulldog and later a boot to the face. Trish caught Molly on the top turnbuckle and went for a somersault-rana combination, but Molly countered with the Tree of Woe and later a handspring backsplash. Molly was unable to put Trish away with this powerful combination, as Trish kicked out at two. Molly whipped Trish into the ropes, but Trish responded with a bodyscissors into the Stratusfaction bulldog for the three count.
