Watching the DVD really reminded me how for Nora Greenwald (aka Molly Holly) has come in the business, and in life in general. It reminded much how far her career has advanced – from the local independent show – to the top of the Women’s division of the most visible wrestling promotion in the world, World Wrestling Entertainment. It reminded me things I had always heard about her, being conscientious, selfless, and strong in her religious convictions.
If you are interested in the DVD to hear Greenwald shoot on the diva search contestants, Vince McMahon or anyone else connected to pro wrestling business, this isn’t the DVD for you. This isn’t the typical “shoot” interview DVD that you have become familiar with. No, that isn’t Greenwald’s style. I don’t honestly believe if you physically kicked her, she would turn around and verbally lash out. In fact, her engaging down to earth personality and magnificent smile would probably engulf you as it does throughout the DVD.
The DVD opens with Greenwald talking about all the Internet reports on the “reasons” she left WWE. You will not learn the shocking truth about her departure from the company until the end of the DVD, but in the meantime you’ll be thoroughly entertained by stories before she broke into pro wrestling. What were the circumstances that brought her into the squared circle? How did she get started with WCW? How did she get her spot with WWE? Why did she cut her hair? You will find out as Greenwald describes each detail of her distinguished career.
In the DVD, you will meet Greenwald’s parents and siblings. What did they think of her decision to venture into the wacky world of pro wrestling? You will find out. In the DVD extras, you will have access to an independent match featuring Greenwald vs. mat veteran Malia Hosaka, an impressive photo library, and an exclusive tour of Greenwald’s living quarters. What wrestling memorabilia does she have in her possession? What odd picture does she have hanging in her hallway? You find out by watching the DVD.
The selling point of the DVD is to learn the TRUTH about her reason to leave World Wrestling Entertainment. What was Vince McMahon’s reaction? Is the door open to a future release? We will ever see Nora Greenwald in a wrestling ring again? You will get these questions answered by ordering “Shootin’ the Crap.” You can order the DVD by visiting www.noradvd.com
The bottom line is I really enjoyed the DVD, and would recommend it.
